Little taste of spring this end of week/weekend. I'm sure we'll have one more run of cold but at least the promise of spring is real. Very fun weekend with lots of great friends meeting Desi for the first time. I hope his popularity doesn't go to his head. We had one of Patrice's best friends Amy Beyer, living in Bend, OR, in the NY Area for a family wedding and she came out to meet Desi for a night/day. It was great to see her. Sunday we finally had Sean and Rebecca out from the city for Desi, an early dinner and the Big East Tournament finals. They also brought along their friend Sarah who lives close by to us. In spite of Syracuse winning (not that I root for Pitt in any way) and being attacked by my Puttanesca sauce (you won't find a single picture of my head wound anywhere on this blog so don't bother looking) we had a great time.

Hope everyone is doing well. It's now March and we are MORE then ready for spring to start settling in to the East coast. Has been a mild winter but after California it has still taken some getting use to. Had a nice surprise when this weekend when our good friend from SF Kevin McClain came to visit us and meet Desi. In true McClain fashion he came out "for a little while" and end up spending the night. We wouldn't have had it any other way.
Desi is doing great. We had a little cold bug running through our place this weekend so that's not fun but hopefully everyone continues to feel better today.

Things here are great. Nice relaxing weekend here. My Mom came down from Boston last week to help out and to begin the spoiling process with Desi. Saturday my cousin Marcus came out from the city to meet Desi. It was great to see him. Marcus lives in Berlin with his wife and 3 month old daughter and is doing an international law rotation at the UN for three months.
