Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. We had a great weekend up in New Hampshire at my parents place. My sister came into town from Madrid to suprise my dad for his 70th Birthday. Teresa flew into Newark, NJ so she got to see our house and drive up with us to NH. To say my dad was surprised to see her would be a huge understatement. He was totally shocked. So great to see. We had amazing weather and spent the majority of the weekend outside.

We also had our good friend Steve Barreca out on the Thursday before the long weekend to meet Desi and see us. It had been a long time and was great to see him.

We were traveling for mother's day so Desi and I made breakfest in bed for Patrice 

 

So we made a mistake. We decided that Desi had some many things that it would make more sense to drive to Cary, North Carolina for our niece Mikaela's first communion then to fly. Yeah, it worked out a little cheaper and we did share the driving and cost with Mike and Ali but there is nothing in the world that is getting us our 9 hours down and 12 hours back.
Do not underestimate how long that is for a long weekend.
Do not make the mistake we did.

All in all we had a great time, even with the drive. We saw the Alexander's new condo (on a golf course), celebrated Kira's 3rd birthday, golfed and had a fantastic time hanging out with each other. Thanks for having us down.
